One Day Before The Horror

April 19th, 2009

Because I figured that my constant JDrama babbling might get annoying, I decided to make a top 10 list on a separate page instead. Now anyone who actually wants to know which ones I recommend, can just go there instead.

In explanation of the title of this blog post, this is the last day of my Easter holidays. I’ll have to go back to school tomorrow, and deal with all the deadlines I’ve been happily ignoring for the past weeks. *sigh* Frankly, I’m not too big on reality.

Ehh, I mean, I finally found out how to change my keyboard to Japanese without using a third party program! :D

I haven’t posted for quite some time and frankly, I haven’t been around the fanlistings world all that much either. It’s not that I don’t like them anymore, just that I’m going through another one of those periods in which I don’t feel like layouting and so on. That eventually turns back to normal, though.

Since it’s been awhile, I’ve got a lot to mention. I don’t think I’ll even get started on mentioning all the JDramas I’ve watched since my last post, I’ll just say that it’s another thing about Japan that has caught my attention. JDramas aren’t as long as western ones, and they are generally about pretty original subjects and situations as well. I have many to recommend, although no one I know truly wanted to watch them. Oh well, that’s up to them. ;-)

These are the last few days of my two-week Easter holidays. As usual, I’m spending my days mainly through dealing with internal battles between studying and relaxing. Another thing that affects me right now is a close friend of mine who is in the army since last weekend. I have no way of contacting him, I can only wait for him to call me – and I was stupid enough to forget my phone yesterday so I missed his call. I truly hope he will try again sometime, because right now, I don’t even know if he got there safely.

I wrote the 103 JLPT level 4 Kanji on paper this morning. I know several of them already, but it’s still tough to write many of them. Perhaps if I can motivate myself to write them every day, I’ll master them all. But I’m lazy. So I doubt it. :D Lastly, I was stunned this morning as I found out that Michael Rowley, the author of Kanji Pict-o-Graphix, had replied to my post about buying the book. I’m not 100% sure it’s really him, but, it seems to be. That was really a big surprise. Kanji Pict-o-Graphix might not be the best way to actually go about studying Japanese, but it sure is very interesting even to people who have no desire of learning to speak the language. Thank you for the comment, mr. Rowley!
